چکیده

In this paper, the possibility of obtaining certain decompositions with finite-dimensional intersection, for a given complete two-dimensional behavior, are fully investigated and related to the factor skew-primeness property of suitable matrix pairs, involved in the behavior description. The analysis carried on here leads to an extension of the results about direct sum decompositions presented in [1] and to a complete generalization of the preliminary results presented in [2]. Key-Words:Autonomous behavior, behavior decomposition, (internal) factor skew-primeness, two-sided diophantine equations.

Semi-Analytical Solution for Free Vibration Analysis of Thick Laminated Curved Panels with Power-Law Distribution FG Layers and Finite Length Via Two-Dimensional GDQ Method

This paper deals with free vibration analysis of thick Laminated curved panels with finite length, based on the three-dimensional elasticity theory. Because of using two-dimensional generalized differential quadrature method, the present approach makes possible vibration analysis of cylindrical panels with two opposite axial edges simply supported and arbitrary boundary conditions including Fre...

Numerical Simulation of the Hydrodynamics of a Two-Dimensional Gas—Solid Fluidized Bed by New Finite Volume Based Finite Element Method

n this work, computational fluid dynamics of the flow behavior in a cold flow of fluidized bed is studied. An improved finite volume based finite element method has been introduced to solve the two-phase gas/solid flow hydrodynamic equations. This method uses a collocated grid, where all variables are located at the nodal points. The fluid dynamic model for gas/solid two-phase flow is based on ...

Modeling the Tensile Behavior of Fibers with Geometrical and Structural Irregularities

Virtually all fibers exhibit some dimensional and structural irregularities. These include the conventional textile fibers, the high-performance brittle fibers and even the newly developed nano-fibers. In recent years, we have systematically examined the effect of fiber dimensional irregularities on the mechanical behavior of the irregular fibers. This paper extends our research to include the ...

An Implicit Difference-ADI Method for the Two-dimensional Space-time Fractional Diffusion Equation

Fractional order diffusion equations are generalizations of classical diffusion equations which are used to model in physics, finance, engineering, etc. In this paper we present an implicit difference approximation by using the alternating directions implicit (ADI) approach to solve the two-dimensional space-time fractional diffusion equation (2DSTFDE) on a finite domain. Consistency, unconditi...
